Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order - Prologue & Chapter 1 Walkthrough (No Commentary) ─ GameSpot Gameplay

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order picks up five years after Order 66 and the purge of the Jedi Order. Former Jedi Cal Kestis has been hiding out as a ship scrapper all these years, but is thrust into a new adventure when the Empire comes for him.

Respawn's latest release, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, has launched on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. If you're curious about the game and just want to see how it starts, we've got you covered. In the above video, we play through the opening prologue and first chapter of Fallen Order.

Taking place five years after the events of Revenge of the Sith, Fallen Order stars Cal Kestis--a former Jedi padawan cut off from most of the Force on account of the PTSD he suffers from living through the Jedi Purge. Living as a scavenger, Cal's life is thrown into turmoil when he ousts himself as a former Jedi to save a friend.

Now hunted by Imperial Inquisitors Second Sister and Ninth Sister, Cal finds allies among the crew of the Mantis. Together, the group sets off to find a Jedi Holocron that contains the locations of Force-sensitive children, hoping to rebuild the Jedi Order.

Gameplay-wise, Fallen Order takes inspiration from the Dark Souls and Metroid franchises. Lightsaber combat focuses on a parry system, though you're also able to use powerful abilities as Cal rekindles his connection to the Force. Your trusty companion, BD-1, can assist you as well, providing stim canisters for healing and scanning enemies to reveal combat strategies.
