Star Wars week continues with my Star Wars Rogue Squadron review! Take the helm as Luke Skywalker and the ace pilots of Rogue Squadron to save cities, defend against empire attacks, and destroy Imperial facilities. The game may not have aged well, but the heart and cool ships are all still there.

With the success of Shadows of the Empire, LucasArts was looking for another hit on the N64. Star Wars Rogue Squadron gave us a variety of ships and missions, ranging from classic planets like Tatooine to the newer Naboo at the time. Completing this will be tough, it is a hard game. Having to find hidden power-ups, complete missions in record times, and maintain a high accuracy rating is going to make me feel like a real Rebel pilot. The Rogue Squadron gameplay is still tight, and yes it is available on Steam as an optimized version, but there's just something about poppin' it into my Nintendo 64 and getting ready to save the galaxy.
