The amount of involvement and co-development for Enter the Matrix was enormous. Being made with the Wachowskis, parallel to other Matrix movies, the hype for a Matrix video game was real. And when it released the same day as Matrix Reloaded it sold over a million copies, and kept selling! But, this was the Matrix video game we never expected. More like a really early version of the Matrix that human batteries experienced. This is the worst movie tie-in game I've ever played as connects to Matrix Reloaded.
Enter the Matrix features never before seen footage of major characters as you follow Niobe and Ghost giving you narrating on Neo and the state of the world. But the game. THE GAME is not fun. It captures everything on a philosophical level that the Matrix stands for, but forgets to be fun. Button mash your wonky kung fu movies and win. The gameplay is rough, and I can't go on writing about this. Just like Neo had you, you have to believe. Believe that this could have been the Matrix game we always wanted.
