War mode is the new game type that has been added to CoD WWII. It reminds me of the hybrid maps from Overwatch or Operations from BF1. The mode has several sections of attack & defend zones that kind of work like king of the hill. Then you have to build a bridge which is like reverse king of the hill. The is a Demolition / Search & Destroy section of bomb planting. Then finally you have to escort the tank to the enemy base which reminds me of escorting the payload in OW. However, this payload has a giant machine gun you can use to mow people down. There are also lots of turrets and barriers you have to build in order to defend your section.
