With Fire Emblem Echoes releasing, I thought I would finally play the Fire Emblem series where it all began. Well, in America at least. This week episode of the Completionist: Fire Emblem the Blazing Word on the Game Boy Advance (GBA)!

Is is crazy to say that Super Smash Bros might have established Fire Emblem in the United States? Did any of you really know who Roy and Marth were in the beginning? Fire Emblem is a wonderfully complex RPG full of heavy storytelling, characters, and perma-deaths. If you die in the game you die for real! I mean if you one of your party members die, they stay dead.
Fire Emblem (GBA) initially had the subtitle The Blazing Sword, but was dropped for the localized release. To complete this Fire Emblem, I will have to play through it roughly 4 times. But with heavy dialogue "cutscenes", I'm hoping that the characters remain interesting enough to get me through it.
Thanks everyone for watching! Let me know what you think and how's the other Fire Emblem games. I'll dust off my copy of Fire Emblem Awakening perhaps. See you when I get back from Norway!
