Earlier this year, we let you vote like hell to determine the artwork that would be used for DOOM’s reverse sleeve. Over 60,000 votes later, it was clear you were Hell-bent on seeing the fiery, retro inspired art option as the winner.

Before you get to hold it in your hands next month, we’ve put together a time-lapse video to show you how Alex Palma from id Software created this detailed piece inspired by the original.

DOOM releases on Friday, May 13th on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, and can be pre-ordered by heading to DOOM.com (http://doom.com/en-us/preorder)
